0.5 µg/mL of MA5-45206 was sufficient for detection of HSP27 in 10 µg of HeLa lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 27 kDa.
No cross-reactivity to Alpha B crystallin.
Very limited cross-reactivity to other species.
Target Information
HSPB1 (heat shock protein beta-1 or HSP27) is a small heat shock protein that functions as a molecular chaperone, maintaining denatured proteins in a folding-competent state. It plays roles in stress resistance and actin organization.
Through its chaperone activity, HSP27 regulates biological processes such as phosphorylation and axonal transport of neurofilament proteins.
Mutations in this gene can result in Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease 2F and distal hereditary motor neuronopathy type 2B.
