Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody is specific for human IL-17E protein. A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with IL-17E from human sources based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Cross-reactivity with IL-17E from other species has not been determined.
Target Information
Interleukin 25 (IL-25) is a member of the IL-17 family and functions as a proinflammatory cytokine produced by Th17 effector cells. It contributes to autoimmune processes such as Rheumatoid Arthritis by activating NF-kappa-B and stimulating IL-8 production. IL-25 itself is regulated through IL-23, IL-5, and TGF-beta pathways.
