Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human MCP-1 (CCL2). Anti-Human MCP-1 (CCL2)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hMCP-1/MCAF by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human MCP-1/MCAF (500-P34) as a capture antibody, enables detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant hMCP-1/MCAF.

Western Blot:
To detect hMCP-1/MCAF by Western Blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. In conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant hMCP-1/MCAF is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

This gene encodes a cytokine involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes, located on the q-arm of chromosome 17. It belongs to the CXC subfamily of cytokines, characterized by two cysteines separated by one amino acid. MCP-1 exhibits chemotactic activity for monocytes and basophils but not for neutrophils or eosinophils, and is implicated in diseases with monocytic infiltrates such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and atherosclerosis. It binds to chemokine receptors CCR2 and CCR4.
