Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Neurogranin (NRGN) is the human homolog of the neuron-specific rat RC3/neurogranin gene. It encodes a postsynaptic protein kinase substrate that binds calmodulin in the absence of calcium.
The NRGN gene consists of four exons and three introns; exons 1 and 2 encode the protein, while exons 3 and 4 contain untranslated sequences.
NRGN is suggested to be a direct target for thyroid hormone in the human brain, potentially explaining hypothyroidism-related mental effects during development and adulthood.
