Target Information
C1orf106 is expressed in peripheral macrophages and intestinal myeloid-derived cells. It is required for optimal PRR-induced signaling, cytokine secretion, and bacterial clearance. Upon stimulation by PRRs such as NOD2, TLR2, TLR3, TLR4, TLR5, TLR7, and TLR9, it associates with YWHAQ/14-3-3T, leading to MAP kinase and NF-κB pathway activation. In the intestine, it regulates adherens junction stability by controlling degradation of CYTH1 and CYTH2 and limiting CYTH1-dependent ARF6 activation.
