APLNR (Apelin Receptor)는 G 단백질 결합 수용체 유전자 계열에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 안지오텐신 수용체와 유사하지만, 실제로는 아펠린 수용체로서 아데닐산 사이클라아제 활성을 억제하고 안지오텐신 II의 혈압 상승 작용에 대해 상반된 조절 역할을 수행합니다. 심혈관계 및 중추신경계, 포도당 대사, 배아 및 종양 혈관신생, 그리고 HIV-1 공동수용체로 기능합니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 인한 두 가지 전사 변이체가 확인되었습니다.
