Target Information

The P2X4 receptor belongs to the purinoceptor family for ATP and functions as a ligand-gated ion channel with high calcium permeability. It shows low sensitivity to suramin and PPADS compared to other purinoceptors. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified, though their full-length structures remain undetermined.
