Product Specific Information
The B20.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse T-cell receptor (TCR) V alpha 2 chains. It recognizes the majority of the TCR V alpha 2 subfamily in mice carrying a, b, and c haplotypes and also reacts with TCR V delta 8 products due to high homology.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.
PerCP-eFluor™ 710 can replace PE-Cy5, PE-Cy5.5, or PerCP-Cy5.5.

Target Information
T cell receptors (TCR) discriminate foreign from self-peptides presented by MHC class II molecules, crucial for adaptive immunity. Recognition of self-peptides is linked to autoimmune diseases and tumors. Superantigen engagement of TCRs can cause toxic shock syndrome. Autoantibodies to TCR V beta segments are found in RA and SLE patients and may modulate immune responses.
Most human T cells express TCR alpha-beta and CD4 or CD8 (SP). A small fraction are double negative (DN), which are increased in certain autoimmune or immunodeficiency disorders. Gamma-delta T cells, mainly in epithelium, show less diversity and unique antigen recognition, with subsets exhibiting antitumor and immunoregulatory functions.
