Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
TRIM25, also known as estrogen responsive finger protein (EFP), is a member of the RING finger–B box–coiled coil family and a downstream target of estrogen receptor α. Mice lacking this gene showed an underdeveloped uterus and reduced estrogen responsiveness, indicating that TRIM25 is essential for estrogen-dependent proliferation. TRIM25 expression is increased in breast carcinoma, promoting tumor growth via E3 ubiquitin ligase activity targeting the negative cell cycle checkpoint 14-3-3σ. Recent studies show TRIM25 E3 ubiquitin ligase is crucial for the RIG-1 signaling pathway in antiviral innate immunity.
