The predicted molecular weight (MW) is 48 kDa; however, the protein runs above 50 kDa on gels and can form dimers.

Target Information

CRG-L2 is a protein containing olfactomedin-like and collagen-like domains. The encoded protein exists in both transmembrane and secreted forms and promotes formation of the nodes of Ranvier in the peripheral nervous system. Mutations in this gene cause a form of lethal congenital contracture syndrome in humans. Autoantibodies to the encoded protein have been identified in sera from patients with multifocal motor neuropathy.
