For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Metadherin (MTDH), also known as LYRIC, is a novel protein localized with tight junction proteins ZO-1 and occludin in polarized epithelial cells.
It is recruited during the maturation of the tight junction complex rather than acting as a structural component.
Metadherin is overexpressed in breast cancer tissue and xenografts, while expression is low in normal breast tissue.
It binds to lung vasculature — one of the common sites of breast cancer metastasis — through its C-terminal extracellular domain.
Blocking this domain with antibodies or inhibiting metadherin using siRNA has been reported to reduce breast cancer metastasis.
