This antibody recognizes mouse M-CSFR (CD115, CSF-1R), a membrane protein involved in tissue macrophage and osteoclast differentiation and proliferation.
Target Information
CSF1R (FMS) is a tyrosine kinase transmembrane receptor involved in macrophage production, differentiation, and function, and is implicated in promyelocytic leukemias. Ligand binding activates the receptor kinase through oligomerization and transphosphorylation.
It plays an essential role in regulating survival, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic precursor cells, particularly mononuclear phagocytes such as macrophages and monocytes. CSF1R promotes proinflammatory chemokine release in response to IL34 and CSF1, contributing to innate immunity and inflammatory processes.
Mutations in the CSF1R gene have been linked to predisposition to myeloid malignancy.
