Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Mouse IGSF8.
Target Information
The IGSF8 gene encodes a member of the EWI subfamily of the immunoglobulin protein superfamily. Members of this family contain a single transmembrane domain, an EWI (Glu-Trp-Ile) motif, and a variable number of immunoglobulin domains.
This protein interacts with tetraspanins CD81 and CD9, potentially regulating their roles in cellular functions such as cell migration and viral infection.
It may also function as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting proliferation in certain cancers. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
