Target Information

MCL1 (Myeloid cell leukemia-1)은 Bcl-2 계열에 속하며 세포 생존 유지에 관여합니다. Isoform 1은 apoptosis를 억제하고, isoform 2는 촉진합니다. MCL1은 DNA 손상 자극(예: 방사선, 자외선, 알킬화 약물)에 노출된 ML-1 세포에서 발현이 증가하며, GADD45 및 Bax 증가와 bcl-2 감소를 동반합니다.
MCL1은 미토콘드리아에 주로 위치하며, bcl-2와 함께 세포 생존을 촉진합니다. Pro-apoptotic 단백질인 Bim 또는 Bak과의 이합체 형성을 통해 apoptosis를 억제할 것으로 추정됩니다.
MCL1은 다양한 세포 유형에서 발현되며, 배아 발생 및 B, T 림프구의 발달과 유지에 필수적입니다. MCL1은 최소 두 가지 isoform(MCL1L, MCL1S)을 가지며, MCL1S의 과발현은 세포 사멸을 유도합니다.
