APLNR (Apelin Receptor)는 G 단백질 결합 수용체 유전자 계열에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 안지오텐신 수용체와 관련이 있지만 실제로는 아펠린 수용체로, 아데닐레이트 사이클라아제 활성을 억제하며 안지오텐신 II의 혈압 상승 작용에 대한 조절적 역할을 합니다. 심혈관 및 중추 신경계, 포도당 대사, 배아 및 종양 혈관형성, HIV-1 코수용체 기능 등 다양한 생리적 과정에 관여합니다. 두 가지 전사 변이가 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 확인되었습니다.
