Target Information
APC1 (Anaphase Promoting Complex subunit 1) is a highly conserved component of the APC/C complex, a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase that controls progression through mitosis and the G1 phase. APC/C mediates ubiquitination and degradation of mitotic cyclins, spindle-associated proteins, and anaphase inhibitors, ensuring proper sequence of mitotic events. Expression levels of APC/C components are similar across tissues and cell lines, indicating function as part of a complex.
