이 패밀리의 단백질들은 프로펩타이드 영역, 금속단백분해효소 도메인, 디신테그린 유사 도메인, 그리고 thrombospondin type 1 (TS) 모티프를 포함하는 여러 공통 모듈을 가지고 있습니다.
각 멤버는 C-말단 TS 모티프의 수와 고유한 C-말단 도메인에서 차이를 보입니다.
ADAMTS-1 단백질은 두 개의 디신테그린 루프와 세 개의 C-말단 TS 모티프를 포함하며, 항혈관신생(anti-angiogenic) 활성을 가집니다.
