Product Specific Information

The eBio1A6 monoclonal antibody reacts with human thymic stromal-derived lymphopoietin receptor (TSLPR).
TSLPR is an approximately 50 kDa protein similar to the common gamma-chain and forms a high-affinity receptor complex with IL-7R alpha (CD127) to bind TSLP.

Human TSLPR is expressed by monocytes and CD11c+ dendritic cells. TSLP binding induces Th2 cell-attracting chemokines CCL17 and CCL22 expression.
Activation of dendritic cells through TSLPR increases secretion of IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13, which regulate CD4+ T cell homeostasis.

In mice, deficiency of TSLPR alone has no effect on lymphocyte numbers, while double deficiency of TSLPR and gamma-chain reduces lymphocytes compared to gamma-chain deficiency alone.
The eBio1A6 monoclonal antibody can cross-block binding of another anti-human TSLPR antibody, 1D8.

Target Information

Thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) drives dendritic cell maturation and activation.
It plays roles in:

  • Regulatory T cell selection
  • Peripheral CD4+ T cell homeostasis
  • Induction of CD4+ T cell-mediated allergic responses

TSLP supports growth and differentiation of B cell progenitors to IgM-positive stages.
TSLP receptor (TSLP-R) binds TSLP with low affinity; co-expression with IL-7Rα forms a high-affinity, functional heteromeric complex.
This receptor complex requires STAT5 for signal transduction and is inhibited by SOCS-1.
