Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Syntaxin 1 is a member of the syntaxin superfamily, which includes nervous system-specific proteins involved in the docking of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic plasma membrane.
Syntaxins contain a C-terminal transmembrane domain, a SNARE domain (H3), and an N-terminal regulatory domain (Habc). They bind synaptotagmin in a calcium-dependent manner and interact with voltage-dependent calcium and potassium channels via the H3 domain.
This protein plays a key role in ion channel regulation and synaptic exocytosis. Alternative splicing results in multiple isoforms.
