Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets.
Because the exact antibody population can be reproduced in every lot, biological variability seen in traditional polyclonal antibody production is eliminated.

Formerly called “Recombinant Polyclonal Antibody,” this product is now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ Antibody.” The physical product and performance remain unchanged.

Target Information

NFkB (Nuclear Factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells) is a transcription factor activated by various stimuli such as cytokines, UV radiation, stress, injury, and microbial products.
It regulates cellular processes including growth, differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis, and inflammation.

NFKB1 (p50) is a 50 kDa functional subunit of NFkB, synthesized as a p105 precursor containing an N-terminal RHD region with nuclear localization, DNA-binding, and dimerization domains.
It can form homodimers or heterodimers (e.g., with p65) to create the functional NFkB complex.
NFkB is usually cytoplasmic and inactive, bound to I-kappa-B; upon phosphorylation of I-kappa-B, NFkB translocates to the nucleus to regulate gene expression.
Phosphorylation of p50 at Ser-337 enhances DNA-binding efficiency.
NFkB plays roles in AIDS, hematogenic cancer metastasis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
