Reconstitution:
Briefly centrifuge the vial before opening to collect contents at the bottom.
Reconstitute lyophilized recombinant human IGFBP-4 in sterile PBS to 0.1–1.0 mg/mL for full activity.
Aliquot stock solutions and store at -20°C.
Further dilutions should be made in medium or buffered solution containing carrier protein (e.g., PBS with 0.1% BSA).Storage:
Store lyophilized protein at 2–8°C, preferably desiccated.
Store reconstituted protein at -20°C (avoid frost-free freezer).
Minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
Target Information
This gene belongs to the insulin-like growth factor binding protein (IGFBP) family. It encodes a protein with both an IGFBP domain and a thyroglobulin type-I domain. The protein binds insulin-like growth factors I and II and circulates in plasma in both glycosylated and non-glycosylated forms. Binding of IGFBP-4 prolongs IGF half-life and modulates their interaction with cell surface receptors.
