Target Information
Amphiregulin (AR)는 EGF-Receptor (EGFR)에 EGF보다 낮은 친화도로 결합합니다. 성숙한 분비형 AR은 84개의 아미노산으로 구성된 당화된 폴리펩타이드 성장 조절 인자로, 252개의 아미노산으로 이루어진 막관통 전구체의 단백질 분해 과정을 통해 생성됩니다. EGFR의 세포외 도메인에 결합할 수 있는 7가지 다른 리간드(EGF, TGFα, AR, HB-EGF, cripto-1, epiregulin, betacellulin)가 존재하며, 이들은 모두 6개의 시스테인 잔기로 구성된 EGF 유사 도메인을 포함합니다.
AR 단백질은 결장, 위, 췌장, 유방, 태반의 상피세포에서 면역조직화학적으로 확인되었으며, 유방암, 결장암, 위암, 췌장암 등에서 과발현되는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
