Mouse anti-human CD45 antibody, clone F10-89-4, recognizes the human CD45 cell surface antigen, also known as the leukocyte common antigen (LCA).
Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed on all nucleated hematopoietic cells, constituting about 10% of surface proteins in lymphocytes.
It is absent in non-hematopoietic cells and tissues. CD45 plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases and cytokine receptor signaling.
Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains.
CD45 is also involved in cell survival, apoptosis modulation, and regulation of immunological responses.
