Product Specific Information

For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.
Mouse anti-Sheep CD31 antibody, clone CO.3E1D4 recognizes ovine CD31 (PECAM-1).
Ovine CD31 is predominantly expressed by peripheral blood platelets and a small percentage of lymphocytes.


Target Information

CD31 (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor involved in regulation of T cell and B cell signaling through dual immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIM).
Upon phosphorylation by associated kinases, these motifs provide docking sites for protein-tyrosine phosphatases.
CD31 is ubiquitously expressed within the vascular compartment, mainly at junctions between adjacent cells.
The N-terminal Ig-like domain is responsible for homophilic binding, playing a key role in cell-cell interactions.
CD31 functions in integrin-mediated adhesion, transendothelial migration, angiogenesis, apoptosis, immunoreceptor signaling regulation, autoimmunity, macrophage phagocytosis, IgE-mediated anaphylaxis, and thrombosis.
It is one of the key regulatory molecules in the vascular system.
