This antibody detects endogenous levels of total CDKN2B protein.
Target Information
The four known 15–19 kDa INK4 proteins (p15INK4b, p16INK4a, p18INK4c, and p19INK4d) bind and inhibit CDK4 and CDK6, but not other CDKs such as cyclin E-Cdk2, cyclin A-Cdk2, and cyclin B-Cdk1.
Like the three D-type cyclins, the INK4 genes are expressed in distinct tissue-specific patterns, suggesting they are not strictly redundant. p18INK4c is expressed during the G1 to S transition in the eukaryotic cell cycle and is maximally induced as cells enter S-phase.
