Target Information
FUS/TLS, originally described as fused in sarcoma, is involved in various cellular processes and associated with multiple diseases. FUS binds single- and double-stranded DNA, serving as a site for transcription factor recognition. Dysregulation of FUS functions is implicated in cancers such as liposarcoma, lipoma, and leukemia. Moreover, abnormal RNA-binding of FUS is linked to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), causing mislocalization and neuronal pathology. Proper regulation of FUS is essential for maintaining healthy cellular functions.
