Target Information
eIF4E는 번역 효율 증가, 스플라이싱, mRNA 안정성 및 RNA 핵 내 수출 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. 모든 진핵세포 mRNA는 5' 말단에 7-methylguanosine 캡 구조(m7GpppX)를 가지고 있으며, EIF4E는 리보솜을 mRNA 캡 구조로 유도하는 번역 개시 인자입니다. EIF4E는 자유형과 EIF4F 복합체의 일부로 존재하며, 단백질 합성 과정에서 mRNA-리보솜 결합 단계의 속도 제한 인자입니다. EIF4F의 다른 서브유닛은 ATPase 및 RNA helicase 활성을 가진 50-kD EIF4A와 220-kD EIF4G입니다.
