Target Information
GALNT10 encodes a GalNAc polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase enzyme involved in the synthesis of mucin-type oligosaccharides.
This enzyme transfers GalNAc from UDP-GalNAc to serine or threonine residues of polypeptide acceptors.
It may exhibit higher catalytic activity toward glycosylated peptides compared to non-glycosylated peptides.
