For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs) are low molecular weight GTP-binding proteins in the RAS superfamily.
The 182-amino acid ARL3 (ADP-ribosylation-like factor 3) shares 97% identity with rat ARL3 and 43% with human ARF1.
ARL3 has a glycine at position 2 (site of N-myristoylation) and lacks cysteine residues near the C-terminus.
Expression is highest in heart and lung, lower in brain, liver, kidney, ovary, and testis.
Detected in human tumor cell lines, but not in normal rodent cells.
Although ARL3 binds GTP, it shows no activity in cholera toxin-dependent ADP-ribosylation of Gs, and is classified as an ARF-like protein.
