This affinity-purified antibody is directed against human C9orf72. The IgY fraction was purified from monospecific chicken egg yolks via selective precipitation and salt fractionation, followed by extensive dialysis.
BLAST analysis indicates cross-reactivity with mouse and rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence.
Target Information
C9orf72 may play roles in endosomal trafficking and autophagy. It interacts with HNRNPA1, HNRNPA2B1, UBQLN2, and small Rab GTPases. Localization includes nucleus, cytoplasm, endosome, lysosome, and autophagosome.
Mutations in C9orf72 are associated with frontotemporal dementia and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
