Product Specific Information
- A 1:2,000 dilution was sufficient for detection of FKBP51 in approximately 50 µg total protein using WB analysis.
- Detects approximately 51 kDa protein.
Target Information
FKBP5 is a member of the immunophilin protein family involved in immunoregulation and basic cellular processes such as protein folding and trafficking. It functions as a cis-trans prolyl isomerase binding to the immunosuppressants FK506 and rapamycin, mediating calcineurin inhibition. FKBP5 interacts with mature hetero-oligomeric progesterone receptor complexes along with HSP90 and P23 proteins. The FKBP5 gene has multiple polyadenylation sites and alternative splicing variants.
