Target Information
PLAC1는 원래 태반 및 배아 발생 중 trophoblast 계통에서 특이적으로 발현되는 단백질로 확인되었으며, 이후 다양한 인간 암, 특히 유방암에서 이소성 발현되는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
PLAC1은 세포막 관련 단백질로, 모체-태반 간의 특이적인 세포 간 또는 리간드-수용체 상호작용을 조절하는 수용체 유사 기능을 수행하는 것으로 추정됩니다.
PLAC1의 발현 감소는 cyclin D1 및 AKT kinase의 발현 저하와 관련이 있으며, 암세포 표면에서 발현된다는 점에서 PLAC1은 암 면역치료의 유망한 후보 타겟으로 여겨집니다.
