Product Specific Information
The eBioCB16 monoclonal antibody recognizes CD16 (Fc gammaRIII), a low-affinity receptor for IgG with an apparent molecular weight of 50–80 kDa. CD16A (FcγRIIIA) is expressed in macrophages and NK cells, while CD16B (FcγRIIIB) is expressed in neutrophils. CD16 binds IgG1 and IgG3 with high affinity and mediates processes such as ADCC, phagocytosis, degranulation, and proliferation.

Target Information
CD16 encodes a receptor that recognizes the Fc portion of immunoglobulin G and is involved in immune complex clearance and cell-mediated cytotoxicity. The FCGR3A gene is expressed on NK cells, while FCGR3B is expressed on neutrophils. Mutations in FCGR3A are associated with immunodeficiency 20 and increased susceptibility to viral infections and autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus.
