Product Specific Information
The 2H7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD20, a 33–36 kDa transmembrane protein expressed by developing and mature B cells but not plasma cells. CD20 plays a role in B-cell activation and has been detected at low levels on a subset of mature T cells.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells
- Recommended use: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume)
- Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 520 nm; Laser: Blue
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered
Target Information
CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and malignant B cells, some T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells. It regulates calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation. CD20 remains on the cell surface after antibody binding, making it a useful target for antibody-mediated B-cell depletion.
Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
