Product Specific Information
The HIB19 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by B cells during all stages of development except terminal plasma cells. Follicular dendritic cells also express CD19. Together with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, CD19 forms a multimolecular complex associated with BCR.
Signaling through CD19 induces tyrosine phosphorylation, calcium flux, and B-cell proliferation. The SJ25C1 and HIB19 antibodies recognize overlapping epitopes.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (1 µg) per test (100 µL final volume).
Excitation: 488 nm; Emission: 520 nm; Laser: Blue Laser.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on all peripheral B cells and certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 acts as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR), regulating B cell activation and proliferation.
Mutations lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression causes B cell hyperactivity. CD19 is a key marker for B cell lineage and an important target in immunological research.
