Product Specific Information

The 93 monoclonal antibody reacts with an epitope shared by mouse CD16 and CD32.
CD16 (Fc gamma III Receptor) and CD32 (Fc gamma II Receptor) are low affinity receptors for the mouse IgG Fc portion and are expressed by B cells, monocyte/macrophages, NK cells, and neutrophils.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes (≤0.5 µg/test).
A test is defined as the amount of antibody staining a cell sample in 100 µL volume.
Cell number can range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Antibody titration recommended for optimal performance.

Target Information

CD16 is a 50–65 kDa cell surface molecule existing in two forms — transmembranous (NK cells, some T cells) and phosphatidylinositol-linked (granulocytes).
It serves as a low affinity receptor for IgG (FcR III) and mediates ADCC (antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity).

CD32 is a 40 kDa glycoprotein acting as a low affinity receptor for IgG (Fc gamma RII).
It mediates endocytosis, secretion activation, cytotoxicity, and immunomodulation.
Expressed by B cells, monocytes, granulocytes, and platelets.
Involved in phagocytosis of immune complexes and regulation of antibody production by B cells.
Variants of CD32 may increase susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
