Product Specific Information
This HMJ2-1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Jagged-2, a Notch receptor ligand. Upon binding to Notch receptors (Notch 1–4), Jagged-2 undergoes proteolytic cleavage by ADAM-family metalloproteases and γ-secretase, releasing an intracellular fragment with uncertain biological function. Jagged-2 is expressed by thymic lymphoid and stromal cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells in the spleen.
Note: Staining of endogenous splenic dendritic (CD8⁺CD11c⁺) cells was confirmed in C57BL/6 mice but not Balb/c. Other strains not tested. The antibody cross-reacts with rat and may have blocking function.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤1 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best performance.
