Target Information
DEK is a protein with one SAP domain. It binds to cruciform and superhelical DNA, induces positive supercoils into closed circular DNA, and participates in splice site selection during mRNA processing. Chromosomal aberrations and increased expression of DEK, as well as the presence of anti-DEK antibodies, are associated with various diseases.
