Target Information
CD133 (AC133) 항원은 97 kDa의 당단백질로, 당화로 인해 단백질 겔에서 약 120 kDa 밴드로 관찰됩니다.
CD133은 미성숙 조혈 줄기세포에서 발현되며, 성숙 혈액세포에서는 발현되지 않습니다. 또한 신경 및 배아 줄기세포 등 다양한 줄기세포 및 전구세포의 표지자로 알려져 있습니다.
CD133은 일부 백혈병 및 뇌종양 등 줄기세포 유래 암에서도 발현이 보고되었습니다. 낮은 수준의 발현은 신장, 췌장, 태반, 태아 간에서도 관찰됩니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 망막색소변성증 및 Stargardt 병을 유발할 수 있으며, 여러 종류의 암과도 관련이 있습니다.
