Target Information

The DGKA gene encodes a member of the eukaryotic diacylglycerol kinase family.
It modulates intracellular signaling by competing with protein kinase C for diacylglycerol and contributes to the resynthesis of phosphatidylinositols through phosphorylation of diacylglycerol to phosphatidic acid.
Alternative splicing generates four transcript variants encoding the same protein.
