Product Specific Information

Description:
The TER-119 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse erythroid cells from early proerythroblast to mature erythrocyte stages. The TER-119 antigen is present in yolk sac, fetal and newborn liver, but is not expressed by BFU-E and CFU-E cells. It is associated with surface glycophorin A but is not a typical glycophorin.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes and bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best performance.

Light Sensitivity:
Tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information

TER-119 is a lineage marker for erythroid cells from early proerythroblast to mature erythrocyte stages in adult blood, spleen, and bone marrow. It is also present in yolk sac, fetal, and newborn liver. The antigen is not expressed in earlier erythroid development (BFU-E, CFU-E stages).
