Target Information
BGN (Biglycan) is a small cellular or pericellular matrix proteoglycan related to decorin and fibromodulin. It likely contains two glycosaminoglycan chains, contributing to its name “biglycan.” This protein functions in connective tissue metabolism by binding to collagen fibrils and transferring growth factor-beta, and may promote neuronal survival.
