CRLF1은 cytokine type I receptor family에 속하는 단백질을 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 cardiotrophin-like cytokine factor 1과 복합체를 형성하여 ciliary neurotrophic factor receptor를 발현하는 세포에 작용하며, 신경 세포의 생존을 촉진할 수 있습니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 Crisponi syndrome 및 cold-induced sweating syndrome을 유발할 수 있습니다.
