YAP (Yes-Associated Protein)은 WW 도메인 단백질 패밀리의 구성원으로, 전사 공동활성화 인자이자 온코진입니다. 이 단백질은 상피세포암에서 전사적으로 활성화되며, Hippo 신호전달 경로의 핵심 하위 조절 타겟으로 작용합니다. Hippo 경로는 세포 증식 억제와 세포사 유도를 통해 장기 크기 조절 및 종양 억제에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 조직 장력, 3D 조직 형태, 세포 증식, 세포 이동 등에도 관여합니다.
