Target Information
Cryptochrome 1 (CRY1)과 Cryptochrome 2 (CRY2)는 내인성 생체시계에 의해 조절되는 일주기 리듬을 담당하는 DNA 결합 플라보단백질입니다.
이 단백질들은 청색광 수용체 및 포토리아제와 유사성을 가지며, Drosophila에서는 빛 의존적으로 TIM과 결합하여 생체시계 기능을 조절합니다.
포유류에서는 CRY1과 CRY2가 CLOCK, BMAL1, PER1, PER2 및 TIM과 상호작용하여 빛 비의존적 방식으로 일주기 유전자 발현을 조절합니다.
Cry1 또는 Cry2 단백질이 결핍된 생쥐는 각각 가속되거나 지연된 운동 주기를 보이며, 두 단백질의 균형이 올바른 생체시계 기능에 필수적입니다.
