Product Specific Information

This antibody detects endogenous levels of Acetyl-FOXO1A only when acetylated at Lys294.

Target Information

FOXO1 (FKHR, Forkhead Box O1) is a transcription factor belonging to the forkhead family. It can function as a coactivator or corepressor of nuclear receptor activity through its LXXLL motif. FOXO1 is associated with PAX3 in alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma and plays key roles in autophagy, myogenic differentiation, and tumor suppression. It regulates metabolic homeostasis in response to oxidative stress and binds to the insulin response element (IRE) and Daf-16 family binding element (DBE). FOXO1 influences redox balance, osteoblast activity, and bone mass, and modulates glucose metabolism by controlling genes such as IGFBP1, G6PC, and PCK1. It acts downstream of CDK1, PKB/AKT1, and MST1 in regulating cell death.
