This antibody recognizes an extracellular epitope on CD112, a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by myelomonocytic and megakaryocytic cells, as well as CD34⁺ hematopoietic progenitors.
Target Information
This gene encodes a single-pass type I membrane glycoprotein containing two Ig-like C2-type domains and one Ig-like V-type domain. It is a component of adherens junctions and serves as an entry receptor for certain mutant strains of herpes simplex virus and pseudorabies virus, facilitating cell-to-cell viral spread. Variations in this gene are associated with differences in multiple sclerosis severity. Alternative splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
