DNA Ligase III 단백질은 100 kDa(a-form) 크기로 체세포에서 발현되며 XRCC-1과 복합체를 형성합니다. 또한, 97 kDa(beta-form)은 고환에서 발견됩니다.
DNA Ligase III는 단일 가닥 DNA 절단 복구 및 염기 절제 복구 경로에 관여합니다.
