Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human IL-17 RC is observed.
- Less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-17 RD and IL-17B R is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level <0.10 EU per 1 µg of antibody (LAL method).
Target Information
This gene encodes a single-pass type I membrane protein similar to the interleukin-17 receptor (IL-17RA).
Unlike IL-17RA, which is mainly expressed in hemopoietic cells and binds only IL-17A, IL-17RC is expressed in nonhemopoietic tissues and binds both IL-17A and IL-17F with similar affinities.
IL-17A and IL-17F are proinflammatory cytokines implicated in inflammatory and autoimmune disease progression.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been detected.
Soluble, secreted forms lacking transmembrane and intracellular domains may act as extracellular antagonists to cytokine signaling.
