Target Information
STAT3는 STAT(signal transducers and activators of transcription) 단백질 계열에 속하며, 수용체 관련 키나아제에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동 후 전사 인자로 작용합니다.
STAT3의 활성화는 Interferon-alpha, Interferon-gamma, EGF, PDGF, IL6 등에 의해 유도되며, Tyr705의 인산화가 이합체 형성 및 DNA 결합에 필수적입니다.
STAT3는 인간 17번 염색체 q arm에 위치하며, 세포 성장과 apoptosis 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다.
PIAS3 단백질은 STAT3의 특이적 억제 인자로 알려져 있으며, Rac1 GTPase는 STAT3의 활성을 조절합니다.
STAT3 유전자 결손 마우스는 배아 단계에서 치명적인 결과를 보입니다.
